This year marks the 45th year that the month of February has been officially recognized as Black History month. While Black History is so much more than one month of recognition, we do wish to provide an opportunity for students to communicate individualized connections between Black leaders and their everyday lives. We are inviting our K-5 students to participate in our third annual contest, My Inspired Journey. Students are encouraged to creatively demonstrate how their lives have been inspired and/or influenced by a Black or African American leader.
